Benjamin Studio is a one-person web design studio based in Los Angeles, California. This page explains, in plain English, what information this website collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. Questions? Email hello@benjaminstudio.net.

What I collect

When you send the contact form, I receive what you type: your name, email, business name and type, what you need, your preferred language, your message and, if you choose one, a budget range. The form also notes which language version of the site you used.

Like almost every website, the servers that deliver this site automatically record basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used for security and to keep the site running.

How I use it

• To reply to your inquiry, discuss your project and send you a quote.
• To keep a record of our conversation if we work together.
• To protect the site and the form from spam and abuse.

I don't sell your information, I don't share it for advertising, and I won't add you to a mailing list without asking.

Services that help run this site

A few trusted services process information on my behalf:

• Formspree delivers form messages to my inbox and filters spam.
• Cloudflare hosts the site and protects it from attacks.
• Google Fonts provides the typefaces, so your browser contacts Google to load them.

Replies to your inquiry are sent from my business email. Each service follows its own privacy policy, linked above.

Cookies and browser storage

This site has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking cookies. It saves two small things in your own browser: your language choice, so the site opens in that language next time, and an unsent draft of the contact form, which is cleared once your message is sent. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell people from bots. You can clear all of this anytime in your browser settings.

How long I keep it

I keep inquiries for as long as needed to respond and, if we work together, for normal business records. If we don't, you can ask me to delete your messages at any time.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you've sent me. Just email hello@benjaminstudio.net and I'll take care of it, usually within a few days. California residents have additional rights under state law, and I'm happy to honor those requests too.

Please don't send sensitive information

Don't include passwords, payment details, ID numbers or health information in the form. I'll never ask for them there.

Children

This site is meant for business owners and isn't directed to children under 13. I don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If anything here changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
